BoaterAI provides AI-powered marine diagnostics guidance through the Nereus AI engine. The Service offers informational and educational content to help boaters troubleshoot and understand common marine issues. BoaterAI also provides a directory of verified marine professionals.
3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
This is critical: All diagnostic guidance provided by Nereus is generated by artificial intelligence and is for informational and educational purposes only. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The Service does not replace professional marine diagnosis, manufacturer service procedures, or the expertise of certified marine technicians.
You should always verify any AI recommendations with a qualified NMEA/ABYC-certified marine professional before performing repairs or maintenance on your vessel. Improper repairs can result in property damage, personal injury, or death.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoaterAI, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated diagnostic content
- Any actions taken based on information provided by Nereus or the Service
- Any damage to your vessel, property, or person resulting from reliance on the Service
- Any interactions with marine professionals listed in the BoaterAI directory
5. Assumption of Risk
By using the Service, you acknowledge that marine repair and maintenance involve inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for any actions you take based on information provided by the Service. You agree that you are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and usefulness of any diagnostic guidance provided by Nereus.

Marine businesses listed in the BoaterAI directory are independent businesses and not employees, agents, or representatives of BoaterAI. BoaterAI does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by listed businesses. Any transactions between users and listed businesses are solely between those parties.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding on BoaterAI are the property of BoaterAI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Lee County, Florida.
